Some people will tell you with the utmost enthusiasm: "YES! High-waisted pants are a MUST!", while others will be more in the mood "Oh no! This cut isn't for me at all...".

And yet, it's perfectly suited to all body shapes. But be careful! It's only flattering if you find the right model! And by the right model, we mean: finding the perfect cut for your shape, the colors that best match your mood, and a fabric that will enhance your silhouette ;)

But before explaining all this in detail, let's first go back to the basics of this cup.

The High Waisted Pant is a pair of pants whose waistline rises above the navel. Very common in the '70s, they've become ultra-trendy again in recent years. For this, a little updating was necessary. We explain!

Since the 70's, lifestyles, styles and techniques have changed. And yes, high-waisted pants have evolved to become one of our favorite bottoms of the year! In fact, high-waisted trousers are no longer confined to Eph's legs, but are now available in boyfriend, slim, super-slim, straight, cropped, fluid, carrot, paper-bag, flare and other styles. And thanks to elastane and new materials, it's now super-comfortable to wear!

As you can see, you're bound to find a trendy model that's just right for you!

Despite the passing years, the craze for jeans and high-waisted pants continues unabated. And luckily for us!

Now it's our turn to have a piece of cake, because yes, the days when nothing was supposed to stick out of our little "low waist" are long gone ;)

So it's to our great delight that it's reappearing in our wardrobes today. Now it's time to get in on the waistline, the curves and the shapely buttocks! And no, girls, there's no need to pinch yourself! You're not dreaming ;)

So if you still think that the high waist shows off your love handles more than it hides them, do a reboot immediately! The whole point of this cut is to camouflage our little imperfections, such as our little bulges, by sheathing them.

And because good news never comes alone, we're revealing its ultimate advantage: the higher the waist, the longer and slimmer your legs!

As we explained to you, it’s all about the model. You need to be aware of your body, your flaws but above all your strengths. And of course, feel comfortable! What’s the point of wearing a garment if you don’t feel good in it, after all?

How to wear high-waisted trousers if you have a belly?

If you find that your trousers accentuate your belly instead of helping to hide it, then it’s simply not the right model for your body shape! The solution would be to steer you toward a paper-bag version. A silhouette that typically stands out with a waistband made from the same fabric as the trousers, cinching in and refining your waist.

How can you enhance your hips and legs?

Do you feel like your bottom looks flatter than lifted? Don’t go for fabrics that are too thin or too soft—choose ruched sizes instead to add volume to your derrière!

Are your hips not well defined? No problem—the details are your best friends! Belts, darts, pleats, gathers… Adding volume will help you harmonize your silhouette.

And finally, for the smallest among us, we recommendcropped women’s trousers to lengthen your legs, while taller people will have real success with a flare fit!

What top?

If cropped tops or sweaters are an easy pick, we also recommend slightly longer tops (shirt, knitwear, T-shirt...) that you can partly tuck into your pant'. If fashion is your thing, it’s impossible you missed this combo!

With what shoes?

As you’ve already guessed, the big advantage of this piece is its ability to lengthen your legs. To enhance that effect, we recommend heels! If you’d rather prioritize comfort (no worries, we get it!), then thick-soled sneakers are the perfect option for you.

For what occasions?
